Messam’s Global Shipping

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using any service provided by Messam’s Global Shipping, the customer agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. By proceeding with our services, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms in full. Continued use of our services constitutes ongoing acceptance of these Terms.

2. Scope of Services

Messam’s Global Shipping provides international courier and logistics services, including but not limited to:

  • Shipping between the United States and Jamaica

  • Air freight and sea freight services

  • New and used motor vehicle shipment

  • Customs clearance and brokerage services

  • Package handling

  • Package consolidation services

  • Delivery through third-party courier providers where applicable

Messam’s Global Shipping reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at its discretion without prior notice.

3. Shipping Schedule

Shipments are processed on a scheduled weekly basis. All shipping and delivery timelines are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to customs processing, inspections, carrier schedules, weather conditions, port congestion, regulatory requirements, or other circumstances beyond our control.

4. Service Areas

Messam’s Global Shipping provides services at our designated location. Delivery outside primary service areas may be facilitated through third-party courier providers at the customer’s expense.

International shipments are coordinated from the United States to Jamaica.

5. Responsibility, Risk & Liability

All shipments are transported at the customer’s own risk.

Messam’s Global Shipping assumes limited liability for loss or damage and shall not be responsible for:

  • Vendor or seller errors

  • Incorrect or incomplete information provided by customers

  • Packages lost or misdelivered before reaching our warehouse

  • Delays, damages, or losses caused by shipping lines, airlines, customs authorities, or third-party carriers

  • Mechanical, electrical, or structural issues related to shipped vehicles

Responsibility begins when the package or vehicle is received at our designated facility and ends once it is released to the customer, customs authorities, or a third-party delivery provider.

6. Vehicle Shipment Policy

For new and used motor vehicle shipments:

  • Customers are responsible for ensuring vehicles comply with Jamaican import regulations.

  • All required documentation must be submitted accurately and in full.

  • Any customs valuation adjustments, duties, penalties, inspection fees, or storage charges remain the responsibility of the customer.

  • Vehicles are transported at the owner’s risk.

7. Packaging & Fragile Items

Messam’s Global Shipping

Is not responsible for damage caused by improper or insufficient packaging by vendors, senders, or customers.

Fragile items, including but not limited to electronics, glass, liquids, cosmetics, and delicate electrical components, are shipped at the owner’s risk.

8. Prohibited

Customers are responsible for ensuring all shipments comply with Jamaican and international laws.

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:

  • Illegal drugs or controlled substances

  • Firearms, ammunition, or weapons

  • Explosives, flammable, or hazardous materials

  • Counterfeit or replica goods

  • Pornographic or obscene materials

  • Perishable food items

  • Live animals

  • Cash, cheques, or negotiable instruments

  • Unauthorized or hazardous industrial materials

Any prohibited item may be confiscated, surrendered to authorities, or disposed of without refund. Messam’s Global Shipping assumes no liability for seizures, fines, penalties, or legal consequences arising from prohibited shipments.

9. Customs, Duties & Fees

Customers are fully responsible for:

  • Providing accurate customs declarations

  • Payment of all applicable duties, taxes, brokerage fees, storage fees, and government charges

Customs clearance services are provided as a facilitation service only and do not guarantee approval or release by customs authorities.

10. Payments

Accepted payment methods include:

  • Bank transfer

  • Cash

  • Approved electronic payment methods

All payments must be settled in full before shipment release, customs processing, or vehicle clearance.

Payments are non-refundable once shipment processing, customs filing, vehicle booking, or procurement has commenced.

11. Claims & Complaints

All claims must be submitted in writing via official email within 48 hours of notification or collection.

WhatsApp messages constitutes as an official claim submissions.

Failure to submit a claim within the required timeframe may result in automatic denial.

12. Storage & Uncollected Shipments

Customers will be notified upon arrival of packages or vehicles.

Packages not collected within 10 days of notification may incur storage fees.

Vehicles not cleared within the allowed timeframe may incur port or warehouse storage charges as imposed by third parties.

Shipments uncollected after 30 days may be auctioned, donated, or disposed of to recover outstanding storage and administrative costs. Customers remain responsible for any unpaid balances.

13. Cancellations

Cancellation requests must be submitted prior to shipment departure or customs filing.

Messam’s Global Shipping reserves the right to cancel services at its discretion where compliance, safety, regulatory, or operational concerns arise.

14. Amendments

Messam’s Global Shipping reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting on the website.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the customer and Messam’s Global Shipping regarding the use of its services and supersede any prior agreements, communications, or understandings.
